Fancy up that cocktail or non-alcoholic party drink with starfruit ice cubes. This is great for using up the smaller end slices of starfruit that you might have considered scraps. Fill each compartment of an old-fashioned ice cube tray with a small starfruit slice, add water and freeze.
Ingredients (per serving):
Distilled water
Ends from starfruit used in other recipes
Directions:
To get clear ice, boil distilled water before putting it into the ice cube trays.
Slice starfruit into 1/4" slices.
Place starfruit slices into ice cube trays and freeze.
Makes: 1 dozen ice cubes with the end slices of 3 to 4 starfruit.
Prep time: 15 minutes (includes 10 minutes for boiling water)
