Kitchen Sink Smoothie

This recipe should really be called the "kitchen fruit bowl" smoothie. Got some fruit that may have been sitting out in the fruit bowl just a little too long? Throw the fruit into the blender with guava. I've yet to find a fruit that doesn't taste great paired with guava in a smoothie. I dare you to find one.


1 red guava
3 strawberries (or substitute whatever's in the fruit bowl)
1 banana
1/4 cup low-fat Greek yogurt

Yield: 2 cups
Prep time: 20 minutes

How to cut a guava


1. Optional - remove the skins and the seed centers from the guavas. Discard the seed centers if you want.*
2. Cut the guavas into quarters. Hull the strawberries. Peel a banana and cut it in half.
3. Toss all ingredients in a blender. Pulse until smooth. Serve immediately.
