After taking five months off to work an Argentinean import deal, Sam Skogstad is back at Brooks Tropicals in sales. Sam reports that he’s finding it easy to fit right back in.
In the past, Sam has worked in sales while also managing purchased fruit. Upon his return Sam sat down with Bill Brindle, Vice President of Sales Management for Brooks, and decided that his focus should be solely on sales with an eye to developing new customers in the burgeoning west coast and Canadian markets.
"I’m looking forward to renewing contacts with the people I’ve worked with in the past. And with Brooks delivering premium tropical produce, I’m excited to introduce new customers to what tropicals can really do for them," said Sam.
"We’re always on the look-out for great sales people. To welcome back a true customer favorite is fantastic. Given our continued increases in papaya sales, Sam’s reputation and expertise will once again enhance the work of our team" says Craig Wheeling, Brooks Tropicals CEO.
Sam’s extensive background in the produce industry includes being Editor of Americafruit Magazine. He’s lived not only in Miami but in Central and South America.
"My time in the tropics has generated a love of tropical fruits and vegetables. And if you love tropicals, Brooks is the place to be with great product, superb quality control and marketing," says Sam.
