Frans Boetes has been appointed Vice President of Marketing for Brooks Tropicals, Inc., the nations market leader for 75 years Tropical Fruits and Vegetables.
Mr. Boetes brings to Brooks Tropicals many years of experience, having founded and run his own international management, marketing, and lobbying firm, Boetes’ Consultants B.V., the largest of its kind in The Netherlands. Boetes’ Consultants had offices in Europe and the USA. After selling his company to a New York firm, Mr. Boetes was a Managing Director for Coca-Cola in The Netherlands, where he was involved in many different Coca-Cola marketing projects. He was also a member of the European Packaging/Environmental Steering Committee. This committee looked into growing volume by developing new packaging concepts for Coca-Cola products in the different European Member States.
Mr. Boetes founded the Miami-Dade Historical Maritime Museum. He is an active member in the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and a Board Member of Dade Heritage Trust.
Brooks Tropicals with their headquarters in Homestead is a grower, packer, and shipper of the very best tropical fruits and vegetables since 1928. The company is managed by Pal Brooks, President and Craig Wheeling, CEO. The best-known labels are: SlimCado Lite and SlimCado Less Fat avocados; Caribbean Red and Caribbean Sunrise papayas; and UniqFruit.
