1 pound malanga root
1/4 tsp. salt Canola oil (for deep frying)
Peel the skin of the malanga root using a vegetable peeler. Slice Malanga into 1/8 inch slices and place in cold water to remove excess starch. Deep fry chips in oil following deep fryer instructions. Remove from oil, drain chips on paper towel, and season with salt.
