Description:

Guava is a small fruit with a strong yet refreshing fragrance that hints of rose petals. Only 1.5 - 2.5 inches in diameter, the entire fruit - yellowish green peel, pink flesh, and numerous seeds - is edible.
The meat is sweetest in the center, with the outer layer and peel being sour. The peel is rich in phytochemicals.
Guava is often served as a dessert. The fruit is also extensively used to make candies, preserves, jellies, jams, marmalades, juices and aguas frescas.
Guavas are a good source of vitamin A and C along with dietary fiber.
